Before they officially started dating, Princess was cheating on her boyfriend Floyd Mayweather with Ray J. During the time when Ray was cheating on his on & off girlfriend Teairra Mari, with Princess Love. This sparked an ongoing feud between the two women, which also played out on the reality tv show Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood.

They've been working to get their relationship back on track after a turbulent few months culminating in her arrest for battery in February.

And Ray J looked in good spirits on Wednesday as he enjoyed an evening out with on-off girlfriend Princess Love.

The What I Need crooner was seen escorting his lady love out of an event in Beverly Hills just days after quitting his VH1 reality show Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood. The 34-year-old was seen in a coordinating denim and leather ensemble featuring a fitted jacket with biker-style sleeves.

Love appeared demure in a figure-hugging black dress with a crossover neckline and her dark locks swept into a chignon.

The duo appeared content during their night out where they attended an ASCAP event together (American Society Of Composers, Authors and Publishers).

The outing comes as it was revealed the singer has made the decision to leave Love & Hip Hop in an effort to save his relationship with Love. According to TMZ, sources say the star - who starred in Kim Kardashian's infamous 2003 sex tape - felt the negativity and conflict in the show has screwed up his relationship with Love. The couple had a bust-up during one episode with Love hurling a glass of wine at Ray and falling into a swimming pool.

Before leaving the show, Ray apparently offered to shoot scenes that were more uplifting and positive but producers weren't interested. They reportedly met again on Wednesday to hash it out but there's no update as of yet. Meanwhile Love was arrested in February after she attacked Ray at a New Orleans hotel. He ended up with broken ribs, a busted lip and torn ACL. According to TMZ, the fight happened when the songwriter returned from a late night with TV producers at a strip club. A witness says Princess screamed, 'I'm gonna kill you.'

She was booked for domestic abuse and battery but released after Ray paid bail and footed the legal bill. During another dramatic episode between the pair in December, Ray J called 911 to report his fears that Love was going to commit suicide after he broke up with her. She reportedly threatened to take her own life after seeing a picture of him with model Karrueche Tran.

He was also heard detailing his worries about a potential murder-suicide plot during a phone conversation with police - the full audio recording having been obtained by TMZ.

Princess Love belief filed for divorce in May 2020, but reconciled shortly afterward. This time Ray J filed for divorce in September 2020. They once again got back together soon after, until Ray J filed again in September 2021.
