  • Jonah Lotan was originally cast as Dean Lowery, but after shooting the pilot was replaced by Mike Vogel. Dean's scenes were re-shot upon Vogel's casting.
  • On the DVDs the 3rd and 4th episodes are out of order aswell as the 2nd episode. The DVD play order for the 1st 4 episodes air as 1, 3, 4, 2.
  • The average career for a Pan Am Stewardess in the 1960's averaged around 18 months due to the strict weight, age, marital status and childlessness requirements. Pan Am required its stewardesses to be at least five foot two and weigh no more than 130 pounds. They also couldn't be married or have children. On top of that the mandatory retirement age for flight attendants was 32. At 5'1", Christina Ricci would have been too short to have been accepted, and at 31, would only have had a few months as a stewardess until she would have hit the mandatory retirement age.
  • All subway scenes were filmed at the New York Transit Museum in Brooklyn. Car 8013, an R-11, was used for interior train scenes.
  • Despite all the exotic destinations featured on the show, principal shooting is done on a back lot in Brooklyn, and other shots are done around New York City. (For example, London hotel scenes are shot in a mansion on Long Island, and some scenes in Italy have been shot in Manhattan.)
