Nawazuddin Siddiqui
Nawazuddin Siddiqui (born 19 May 1974) is an Indian actor known for his work in Hindi cinema. He is known for his roles in Gangs of Wasseypur (2012), The Lunchbox (2013), Raman Raghav 2.0 (2016), and Manto (2018), among others. As many as eight films in which he features have been screened at the Cannes Film Festival. He has won numerous awards, including a National Film Award, a Filmfare Award, and two Filmfare OTT Awards.

- Nawazuddin has played the role of a transgender in the film Haddi. He wore a saree for the first time in his life in the film. To finalize his looks in the film, the makers took 6 months time. It used to take 30 minutes to drape a saree on him and overall 3 hours time to complete his transgender look along with makeup.
- In May 2023, Nawazuddin called depression, anxiety, bipolar, etc an urban concept. He didn’t know about these before coming to the city. Village people don’t get these diseases and underprivileged people make the most of their lives and circumstances.
- In May 2023, Nawazuddin expressed that he would like to do only a lead role going forward even if he had to invest money in a film project.
- He tried becoming a monk twice or thrice after college graduation and stayed in Dharamshala for around 20 days for the same, but he failed. After that, he got introduced to theater.
