The Münchner Lach- und Schießgesellschaft (Munich laughing and shooting association) was a German political kabarett in Munich, founded in 1956 by journalists Sammy Drechsel and Dieter Hildebrandt. Drechsel was the director until his death in 1986. He directed the shows and wrote about 80% of the texts, collaborating with Hildebrandt and Klaus Peter Schreiner [de]. The musical director was Walter Kabel [de], who also composed. The name was colloquially shortened to Lach und Schieß (laugh and shoot). The kabarett had its own theatre in Schwabing.
