His father Lewis Wilson was the first ever Batman on screen.

Due to the Writers' Guild of America strike in 1989, long-time James Bond scriptwriter Richard Maibaum was unable to continue working on the screenplay during production of Licence to Kill (1989). A long time member of the Guild, Maibaum felt he could not betray his membership and ghost-write the script. Wilson had to complete the screenplay on his own. This was to be the fifth and final pairing for the Maibaum-Wilson writing team which had started with For Your Eyes Only (1981).

First ever credited acting performance in a James Bond film was for Die Another Day (2002). He played General Chandler. In this film, he can also be seen uncredited as a Man leaning against a car in Cuba.

For the The Man with the Golden Gun (1974), he made a small contribution acting as an uncredited technical consultant. He mathed some integral calculus in relation to the spiral car stunt.

He has been credited as a fully-fledged producer on the "James Bond" films ever since A View to a Kill (1985) until the present. He produced three "James Bond" movies with his step-father, Albert R. Broccoli, including that film and The Living Daylights (1987) and Licence to Kill (1989). He was an executive producer on Moonraker (1979), For Your Eyes Only (1981) and Octopussy (1983) and a special assistant to the producer on The Spy Who Loved Me (1977). Since GoldenEye (1995), he has produced the "James Bond" movies with his step-sister, Barbara Broccoli.

He was a co-scriptwriter for the EON Productions James Bond series on five occasions. He teamed with veteran scriptwriter Richard Maibaum on For Your Eyes Only (1981), Octopussy (1983), A View to a Kill (1985), The Living Daylights (1987) and Licence to Kill (1989).

His association with the James Bond series started with Goldfinger (1964) where he made a cameo, a tradition which would continue regularly from The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) to the present.

Is the step-son of Albert R. Broccoli who gave him opportunities and carved-out a career for him in the EON Productions' James Bond series.

Is an accomplished stills photographer with a unique collection of rare photographs which he lends to museums around the world. The collection, one of the world's largest, has its own curator.

He was awarded the O.B.E. (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2008 Queen's New Years Honors List for his services to the film industry.

With Barbara Broccoli, ranked #36 in the 2008 Telegraph's list "the 100 most powerful people in British culture".

The James Bond encyclopedia by John Cork and Collin Stutz jokingly presents all of Wilson's cameo's in the James Bond films as being one and the same undercover agent, including his one credited role as General Chandler.

Personal Quotes (1) At the end of the day, what's really important - not just for the audience but ourselves - is that we are doing stuff that we believe in, that makes us enthusiastic... whether Casino Royale (2006) will make more or less money (than Die Another Day (2002)), I don't know. But, because we needed to re-energize ourselves, it's going to be a better film -- Interview with David Giammarco, The Globe & Mail, March 27, 2006.
