They continued hooking up after they broke up for good, until they stopped in May 2015. Even though they weren't officially a couple anymore.

Single for the holiday season! Khloe Kardashian has split from boyfriend French Montana for the second time, Us Weekly can exclusively confirm.

"Khloe just wasn't ready after Lamar [Odom] and it was getting too serious," a source tells Us. "She respects and cares for him but just wasn't ready." (Kardashian filed for divorce from husband Lamar Odom in December 2013 after much drama, including Odom's struggles with substance abuse.)

Us broke news in September that Kardashian and the rapper, both 30, originally went their separate ways after five months of dating -- but not for long. That same month, French Montana told Us that the reality star will be his "baby forever" while attending Power 105.1's Powerhouse 2014 in NYC on Oct. 30.

That same week, Kardashian told Us there was "no bad blood" between the exes. "I love memories...and I still talk to him," she said. On Nov. 9, she even wished him a happy birthday via Instagram. "In only a short amount of time we have created timeless memories," she captioned a picture of the two. "Happy birthday to a man who genuinely lives life to its fullest. 'What's understood doesn't need to be explained' @frenchmontana I can't wait to celebrate life with you tonight! You deserve it!!"

The duo kept mum about their relationship status after their split, but it was clear during French Montana's birthday bash that they were an item again. "Khloe and French are clearly together ' they were hugging, holding hands, and being openly affectionate," an onlooker told Us earlier this month. "[Khloe was] running around and talking to [a party planner]" all night.

In recent days, however, Kardashian has appeared to spend more time with her family. She hosted Thanksgiving dinner at her home and had a pre-Christmas party with sisters Kim, Kourtney, and Kendall Jenner on Dec. 3. One day earlier, she alluded to a possible breakup on Instagram.

"The saddest word in the whole wide world is the word almost," the message read. "He was almost in love. She was almost good for him. He almost stopped her. She almost waited. He almost lived. They almost made it."
