Caroline and Kaká met for the first time in 2002 and began a short courtship. The relationship survived when Kaká had to move from Sao Paulo to Italy in 2003, when Caroline was still in school. The couple saw when he returned to Brazil on short trips, but their plan was to live in Italy in a very short time.

They married on December 23, 2005 in an Evangelical Church in Sao Paulo. After the ceremony, the couple took a helicopter to go to the party because they wanted to avoid the traffic. The reception was given in a luxury hotel, where attended many Brazilian soccer stars such as Ronaldo, Dida and Cafu, as well as from international football. From Caroline, attended her colleagues and friends from high school, apart of the family of the bride and groom. In total there were 600 guests.

On June 10 of this year 2008; was born their first son, Luca Celico Leite. The happy family now lives in Milan and spend their free time between Italy and Brazil.
