- Nolan North improvised most of his own dialogue.
- Loki is unable to pick up Thor's hammer Mjölnir, even though he is now stronger than Thor. This is because of an enchantment that states only someone worthy can hold the hammer.
- This is the fourth battle between the Hulk and Thor (excluding video games), the first having occurred in The Incredible Hulk Returns (1988) . The second being The Incredible Hulk: Mortal Bounds (1996), and the third being Ultimate Avengers (2006).
- Grey Griffin, who voices Sif in "Hulk vs. Thor," voiced her rival the Enchantress (Amora) in The Super Hero Squad Show (2009).
- Brian Drummond has a brief speaking cameo as the Army officer who informs Wolverine about the Hulk. Drummond had earlier voiced the character Agent Pratt for Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes: Hard Knocks (2006), who was tasked with capturing the Hulk.
