Hispanic Americans (Spanish: estadounidenses hispanos, ) are Americans who are descendants of people from Spain or Hispanic America. More generally, this demographic includes all Americans who speak the Spanish language natively and who self-identify as Hispanic (whether of full, partial, or no ancestry). As of 2018, the Census Bureau estimated that there were some 59.9 million Hispanics living the United States (about 18% of the overall population).
