Frank Welker
Franklin Wendell Welker (born March 12, 1946) is an American actor, voice actor, impressionist, and comedian, with a career spanning nearly six decades. He is best known for voicing Fred Jones in the Scooby-Doo franchise since its inception in 1969, and Scooby-Doo himself since 2002. In 2020, Welker reprised the latter role in the CGI-animated film Scoob!, the only original actor from the series in the movie's cast. He has also voiced Oswald the Lucky Rabbit in Epic Mickey and its sequel, Megatron, Galvatron and Soundwave in the Transformers franchise, Curious George in the Curious George franchise, Garfield on The Garfield Show, and Nibbler on Futurama, and Jabberjaw, Speed Buggy, Astro, Sneezly Seal, Mushmouse, Azrael in The Smurfs as well as numerous animal vocal effects in many works. In 2016, he was honored with an Emmy Award for his lifetime achievement.

- Auditioned to reprise the role of Megatron for the 2007 Transformers film, but was passed over in favor of Hugo Weaving, even though Peter Cullen was cast to reprise the part of Optimus Prime after his audition.
- Referred to in Hollywood as a voice god.
- Has shared two roles with Leonard Nimoy. When the third season of "Transformers" (1984) came around, Frank took the role of Galvatron that Leonard Nimoy had taken in The Transformers: The Movie (1986). And in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984), Frank provided the screams of Leonard Nimoy`s most famous character, Spock.
- Provided the voice for 8 of the original 14 Decepticons in the "Transformers" (1984) cartoon: Megatron, Soundwave, Skywarp, Lazerbeak, Rumble, Frenzy, Ravage, and Buzzsaw. He voiced two of the original Autobots as well: Trailbreaker and Mirage, as well as one of the Dinobots (Sludge) that also appeared in the first season.
- He has done every voicing of Freddy "Fred" Jones for all of the Scooby-Doo series with the sole exception of "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo" (1988). Even in parodies and cameos on different TV shows, he has always done this voice.
