Four Weddings and a Funeral
Four Weddings and a Funeral is a 1994 British romantic comedy film directed by Mike Newell. It was the first of several films by screenwriter Richard Curtis to feature Hugh Grant, and follows the adventures of Charles (Grant) and his circle of friends through a number of social occasions as they each encounter romance. Andie MacDowell stars as Charles's love interest Carrie, with Kristin Scott Thomas, James Fleet, Simon Callow, John Hannah, Charlotte Coleman, David Bower, Corin Redgrave, and Rowan Atkinson in supporting roles.

- The first British movie since A Fish Called Wanda (1988) to top the U.S. box-office charts.
- In Love Actually (2003), also written by Richard Curtis, the song "Love Is All Around" was also featured predominantly in the plot, with Billy Mack (Bill Nighy) covering the song, but with a Christmas theme to make Billy Mack's big comeback.
- The Mini used was the same Mini (or same registration) as the one in Mr. Bean: Back to School Mr. Bean (1994), but in a different paint scheme.
- Griff Rhys Jones was considered for the role of Charles. Rowan Atkinson, who played Father Gerald in this movie, was his co-star from Not the Nine O'Clock News (1979).
- Andie MacDowell waived a fee for appearing in this movie, taking percentage points instead. This netted her an eventual $2 million, compared with Hugh Grant's salary of $100,000.
