Fool's Gold is a 2008 American romantic action comedy film from Warner Bros. Pictures about a recently divorced couple who rekindle their romantic life while searching for a lost treasure. The film is directed by Andy Tennant and reunites the How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days stars Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson. It received negative reviews from critics and grossed $111 million worldwide.

- Tom Cruise was originally considering starring in this project but chose Lions for Lambs (2007) instead.
- Kevin Hart had never seen the word "facade" in print. He said the line, "Don't you think that this is a fakade?" three times before the director corrected him. When asked what he though he was saying, he said he didn't know, but he knew he sold the line.
- Kenneth Lonergan did an uncredited rewrite on this script.
- "Moe Fitch" is based on treasure hunter Mel Fisher, whose Key West maritime museum houses gold and silver artifacts from Spanish treasure ships.
- The scene where Tess slaps Ben after they walk out of the court house was filmed in front of the Vice-Chancellor's Building at the Queensland University of Technology, which is above the city's botanical gardens.
