F9: The Fast Saga
F9 (also known as F9: The Fast Saga and internationally as Fast & Furious 9) is a 2021 American action film directed by Justin Lin from a screenplay by Daniel Casey and Lin. It is the sequel to The Fate of the Furious (2017), serving as the ninth main installment, and the tenth full-length film in the Fast & Furious franchise. It stars Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto, alongside Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, John Cena, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Michael Rooker, Helen Mirren, Kurt Russell, Charlize Theron, Thue Ersted Ramussen, and Anna Sawai. In the film, Toretto and the team come together to stop a world-shattering plot headed by his younger brother, Jakob (Cena).

- Young Dom (Vinnie Bennett) beats Kenny Linder (Jim Parrack) half to death with a pipe wrench. This scene is a callback to The Fast and the Furious (2001), when Dom (Vin Diesel) mentions to Brian (Paul Walker) that he beat Kenny with a wrench and went to prison for it. In another scene (00:55:07) Brian's boss Sergeant Tanner (Ted Levine) specifies that he beat Linder with a 3/4" torque wrench
- As of August 27th, 2021, the movie has surpassed $700 million dollars worldwide.
- Jack Toretto's final race takes place in 1989. However, the entire field is comprised of Chevrolet Monte Carlo and Pontiac Grand Prix bodies that are based on models from the late '90s and early 2000s.
- They spoke with a NASA engineer about the space-set sequence, and "at first he just thought we were crazy." He got more in tune with them, though, when he realized Justin Lin was serious about wanting to get as many of the specifics right as possible.
