Mini Bio (1) Elçin Sangu, Turkish actress, model and opera singer of Circassian descent, was in born 13 August 1985 in Izmir. She graduated from Mersin University Department of Opera. Following her graduation, Sangu studied acting for 2 years at Sahne Tozu Theater in Izmir under the supervision of famous theater director and actor Haldun Dormen.

In 2011, she was offered to play redheaded singer named Jale in famous Turkish TV drama "Oyle Bir Gecer Zaman Ki/As Time Goes By". Besides her acting skill, Sangu received considerable attention in this debut role for her natural redhead look and her musical voice. Later on, she appeared several more TV dramas such as "Ask Kac Beden Giyer" (2012), "Bir Ask Hikayesi/A Love Story" (2013), "Kurt Seyit ve Sura/Kurt Seyt and Shura" (2014), and "Sevdam Alabora" (2015).

While her role as Guzide in "Kurt Seyit ve Sura/Kurt Seyt and Shura" allowed her to be recognized by a larger Turkish audience, her breakthrough role came with romantic comedy series "Kiralik Ask/Money for Love" (2015), in which she had the leading role. After playing young, beautiful and naive Defne/Daphne in this modern Cinderella story, Elçin Sangu stepped into the league of stars and her fame rapidly spread abroad, especially thru Middle East, Russia, East and West Europe.

During 2015 and 2016, Sangu received many TV awards from different universities, educative, public, and media organizations including Pantene Altin Kelebek/Pantene Golden Butterfly Awards, for her role as Defne/Daphne.
