editDixie's career began after her sister, Charli D'Amelio, gained popularity on TikTok. Dixie also began posting on TikTok, where she has amassed over 32.6 million followers. Dixie also has over 15.3 million Instagram followers and over 2.1 million Twitter followers. She is the 11th most-followed individual on TikTok.
In January 2020, D'Amelio signed with United Talent Agency. In May 2020, she and her sister announced a new podcast deal with Ramble Podcast Network, which will offer a behind-the-scenes look at their lives and specific topics on their minds.
D'Amelio's acting career includes appearing on the Brat TV series Attaway General.
On June 26, 2020, D'Amelio released her first single, "Be Happy". As of Sunday, June 28, the song has accumulated more than 1.4 million streams on Spotify.
