Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is a 2014 American science fiction action film directed by Matt Reeves and written by Mark Bomback and the writing team of Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver. The sequel to Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011), it is the second installment in the Planet of the Apes reboot film series and the eighth film overall. It stars Andy Serkis as Caesar, alongside Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, and Kodi Smit-McPhee. The film takes place 10 years after the events of Rise and follows a group of human survivors as they battle to stay alive in the wake of a deadly pandemic, while Caesar tries to maintain control over his expanding ape community which could lead to an all-out war between apes and humans.

- At the very end of the end credits, difficult breathing and moving rubble can be heard. This suggests Koba may still be alive.
- The name blue eyes was given to Cesar son because Cesar son is the first generation to be born without the chemical that changed Caesars eyes and the rest of the Apes eyes to green in the first movie

- Milo was name of the Doctor (played by Sal Mineo) in Escape From the Planet of the Apes (1971) who is killed by an "primitive" (1973) zoo gorilla. When Zira gives birth, she and Cornelius named their baby Milo (in honor of their fallen friend). After Zira and Cornelius' death, and in order to protect Milo's true identity, his name is changed to Caesar (in Conquest of the Planet of the Apes)
- Caesar's and Cornelia's infant son and Blue Eyes' baby brother is named Milo.
