David Villa and Patricia Villa
Although he prefers to keep his personal life out of the spotlight due to his discreet and introverted personality, it was still publicised that in 2003 Villa married his childhood sweetheart Patricia (who had also been a footballer in her teenage years). On 7 December 2005, their first child was born, a girl who they named Zaida.
In February 2009 it was announced that his wife, Patricia, is expecting their second child, Olaya, in September.
