Dark Angel
Dark Angel is an American science fiction action drama television series that premiered on the Fox network on October 3, 2000. Created by James Cameron and Charles H. Eglee, it stars Jessica Alba in her breakthrough role. Set in 2019, the series chronicles the life of Max Guevara (Alba), a runaway genetically enhanced supersoldier who escapes from a covert military facility as a child. In a dystopian near-future Seattle, she tries to lead a normal life while eluding capture by government agents and searching for her brothers and sisters scattered in the aftermath of their escape. Dark Angel was the only show produced by the company Cameron/Eglee Productions, and was filmed in Vancouver at Lions Gate Studios.

- Eliza Dushku whom had worked with James Cameron on "True Lies", was considered for Max.
- Max's barcode number is 332960073452. Zack's barcode number is 330417291599. Alec's barcode number is 331845739494
- At the end of the series finale, "Freak Nation", the shot of the transgenics raising their flag mimics the American flag being raised by US Marines on Iwo Jima.

- When the character of Alec was conceived for the series' season 2, the writers knew they wanted him to be a somewhat amoral X5 with a sharp wit. They chose to immediately hire Jensen Ackles for the role, who had previously played a rogue serial killing X5 in a season 1 episode. They explained the actor's return in a different role by saying that Alec was his former, and deceased, character's twin. Although they had only seen Ackles as a dramatic actor in his previous roles, everyone in the production was pleased to see that Ackles had a natural talent as a comedian.
