Better Call Saul
Better Call Saul is an American crime drama television series created by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould. It is both a spin-off and a prequel of Gilligan's previous series, Breaking Bad. Set in the early to mid- 2000s in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the series develops Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk), an earnest lawyer and former con-man, into a greedy criminal defense attorney known as Saul Goodman. Also shown is the moral decline of retired police officer Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks), who becomes closely affiliated with the Juarez drug cartel to support his family. Jimmy and Mike's interactions remain sporadic until their respective storylines fully converge. The show premiered on AMC on February 8, 2015, airing five seasons to date. A sixth and final season, consisting of 13 episodes, is scheduled to air in 2021.

- The gun Tuco uses in episode 2 is an anachronism. The Taurus Raging Judge M513 wasn't actually manufactured until 2010.
- Better Call Saul scored the second highest debut ratings in cable history, with an overall 6.9 million viewers for its first episode. _"Fear The Walking Dead" (2015)_ surpassed that record with 10.1 million viewers in its first episode.
- The series takes place in 2002, six years before the beginning of Breaking Bad and seven years before Saul's first appearance.
- Vince Gilligan revealed on an interview that his original plan was to shape the show on season 1 and eventually step out and let Peter Gould run the series full-time, but making the season was so creatively fulfilling that he changed his mind and decided to also run it on an every day basis.
