Bethenny Frankel (born November 4, 1970) is an American reality television personality, talk show host, author, chef, and entrepreneur. She founded Skinnygirl Cocktails, authored four self-help books and hosted the talk show, Bethenny. Frankel has appeared on The Apprentice: Martha Stewart, The Real Housewives of New York City and was the subject of the reality television series Bethenny Ever After.

Personal life Frankel married entertainment executive Peter Sussman from 1996 to 1997. She married pharmaceutical sales executive Jason Hoppy in March 2010. They have one daughter, Bryn. After the couple separated in December 2012, Frankel filed for divorce in January 2013. A custody agreement was finalized in June 2014, followed by a financial settlement in July 2016. Frankel and Hoppy are still legally married as of August 2019. Since late 2018, she has been in a relationship with film producer Paul Bernon.

Frankel has a severe fish allergy and was hospitalized in December 2018 after consuming soup that contained fish. She has since demanded that airlines stop serving fish stating that it is a hazard to passengers with fish allergies to be in the presence of cooked seafood in an enclosed commercial airline jet.

(February 20, 2012) Miscarried her second child with her husband Jason Hoppy at 2 months pregnant recently.

Was in on-off relationship with Dennis Shields from 2016 until his death on August 10, 2018. They got engaged in April 2018. Frankel and Shields were friends for more than 20 years until they started dating. Shields died from prescription drug overdose at the age of 51.

In August 2017, it was reported that she was undergoing a course of screening for skin cancer after a certain tumor began to grow on her face. On September 13th, it was confirmed that she was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma (the most common form of skin cancer), and the tumor under her eye has already been removed and Frenkel went on the amendment.

On December 16, 2018, she suffered near-fatal allergic reaction to fish which led to memory and vision problems.

(March 8, 2019) Has been diagnosed with leaky gut syndrome and wheat allergy.
