American Crime Story
American Crime Story is an American anthology true crime television series developed by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, who are also executive producers, alongside Brad Falchuk, Nina Jacobson, Ryan Murphy, and Brad Simpson. The series is the second installment in the American Story media franchise, following American Horror Story. Each season is presented as a self-contained miniseries and is independent of the events in other seasons. Alexander and Karaszewski did not return after the first season, but retain executive-producer credits. In the United States, the series is broadcast on FX.

- At one point, Sarah Paulson was filming "The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story" and her role as Sally McKenna on "American Horror Story: Hotel" in the same day. She would rehearse one's lines in the other's costume. The court room scenes ran into 2 AM.
- According to producer Nina Jacobson, the role of Christopher Darden was the most difficult to cast since most of the prospective black actors auditioning for the series did not want to portray him because they did not like him personally.
- Sterling K. Brown, who won the Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a Miniseries playing prosecutor Chris Darden, made many attempts to contact him and even accidentally called his cell phone thinking it was a work number. But Darden did not want to be consulted about this series so Sterling contacted his daughter instead who was happy to help.
- Sarah Paulson does not want to watch the series. Sarah publicly apologized to Marcia Clark during her speech for judging her based on media portrayal and had her name engraved on the Emmy.
- Will follow the anthology format of Ryan Murphy's other show, American Horror Story. Season 2 will focus on the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina as opposed to a trial or crime.
